Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead design on land development projects in the Pacific Northwest. You will stamp final deliverables and supervise junior staff while coordinating with clients, agencies, and internal teams.

The role requires strong Civil 3D proficiency, detail orientation, and the ability to manage multiple projects with on-time, on-budget delivery. Oregon license reciprocity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current PE license in WA or OR or be able to reciprocity quickly.
• 5–10 years of experience in land development and civil design.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D or similar design tools.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple active projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record on on-site development projects and stamp final deliverables.
• Lead design of grading, stormwater, utilities, and roadway infrastructure.
• Prepare technical drawings, reports, and permit submittals.
• Coordinate with clients, agency reviewers, and internal teams throughout projects.
• Mentor and review the work of EITs and junior engineers.
• Occasional site visits and client meetings as needed.
