Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer to lead design work on land development projects in the Pacific Northwest. You will collaborate with a tight-knit team of engineers, planners, and surveyors to deliver efficient, compliant solutions on commercial, industrial, residential, and public infrastructure projects.

You will stamp as Engineer of Record, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with clients and agencies to ensure on-time, on-budget deliverables while

Qualifications

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Washington or Oregon (or reciprocity).
• 5–10 years of civil/land development experience.
• Proficient with Civil 3D or similar design tools.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple active projects.
• Effective written and verbal communicator.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Engineer of Record on-site development projects and stamp final deliverables.
• Lead design of grading, stormwater, utilities, and roadway infrastructure.
• Prepare technical drawings, reports, and permit submittals.
• Coordinate with clients, agency reviewers, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and review the work of EITs and junior engineers.
• Conduct occasional site visits and attend client meetings as needed.
