Job summary

OPTIMUM LEAP LLC is seeking a Licensed Childcare Administrator (LCCA) to lead daily operations at a residential treatment center in Texas. You will ensure a safe, nurturing environment and oversee developmentally appropriate activities for children, in collaboration with families to implement individualized care plans.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas DFPS Childcare Administrator license and has experience with emotionally disturbed children.

Qualifications

Current Texas Department of Family and Protective Services license as Childcare Administrator.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with emotionally disturbed children.
Experience running or overseeing residential treatment centers and coordinating with DFPS.

Responsibilities

Ensure efficient operation of the residential treatment center.
Implement policies and procedures approved by the Board.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
Make recommendations to the Executive Director on hiring/firing staff.
Supervise, train, and evaluate staff.
Maintain adequate staffing for all shifts and activities.
Provide budgetary input to the Executive Director.
Monitor expenditures per budget approvals.
Maintain communication with DFPS monitors, caseworkers, and licensing staff, and Youth for Tomorrow staff.
Maintain relationships with the school district and teachers.
Ensure facility and grounds are safe and well-maintained; arrange repairs.
Maintain relationships with local agencies and regulatory bodies.
Ensure vehicles are safe; arrange repairs as needed.
Report to Executive Director.
Handle other duties as assigned.
