OPTIMUM LEAP LLC is seeking a Licensed Childcare Administrator (LCCA) to lead daily operations at a residential treatment center in Texas. You will ensure a safe, nurturing environment and oversee developmentally appropriate activities for children, in collaboration with families to implement individualized care plans.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas DFPS Childcare Administrator license and has experience with emotionally disturbed children.

Qualifications

  • Current Texas Department of Family and Protective Services license as Childcare Administrator.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with emotionally disturbed children.
  • Experience running or overseeing residential treatment centers and coordinating with DFPS.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient operation of the residential treatment center.
  • Implement policies and procedures approved by the Board.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Make recommendations to the Executive Director on hiring/firing staff.
  • Supervise, train, and evaluate staff.
  • Maintain adequate staffing for all shifts and activities.
  • Provide budgetary input to the Executive Director.
  • Monitor expenditures per budget approvals.
  • Maintain communication with DFPS monitors, caseworkers, and licensing staff, and Youth for Tomorrow staff.
  • Maintain relationships with the school district and teachers.
  • Ensure facility and grounds are safe and well-maintained; arrange repairs.
  • Maintain relationships with local agencies and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure vehicles are safe; arrange repairs as needed.
  • Report to Executive Director.
  • Handle other duties as assigned.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Childcare Administartor (LCCA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for children and possess a strong understanding of developmental needs. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing environment for children while promoting their physical, emotional, and social development. The Childcare Provider will work closely with families to implement care plans that cater to each child's unique needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

A current license from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as a childcare Administrator and two years of experience Working with children with emotional disturbances

Responsibilities:
  • Ensures efficient operation of the residential treatment center
  • Implements policies and procedures approved by the Board
  • Ensures that the residential treatment center complies with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations
  • Makes recommendations to the Executive Director on the hiring and firing of all staff
  • Supervises, trains, and evaluates staff under his supervision
  • Ensures that there are sufficient staff on all shifts and for all activities
  • Makes budgetary recommendation to the Executive Director
  • Monitors expenditures according to approved budget
  • Maintains communication with DFPS contract monitors, caseworkers and licensing staff and Youth for Tomorrow staff
  • Maintains positive relationships with the school district and teachers
  • Ensures that the facility and grounds are safe and sanitary and arranges for repairs and maintenance of facility
  • Maintains positive relationships and communications with local agencies, the community, and with local and state regulatory agencies
  • Ensures that the vehicles are in safe running conditions and arranges for repairs if necessary
  • Reports to Executive Director
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Hours:

Must work a minimum of 30 hours per week

Must be available for emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
