Job summary

Trinity Health in Illinois is seeking a full-time Boiler Room Operating Engineer to operate and maintain steam boilers, cogeneration equipment, and HVAC support systems in a hospital setting. You will monitor BAS, perform water treatment, and support annual state inspections in Maywood.

You will conduct routine inspections, document abnormalities, and assist building engineers to resolve heating problems, ensuring comfort and safe work conditions for staff and patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent formal trade school or apprenticeship education required.
• City of Chicago Stationary Engineer License required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and maintains steam boilers, air-conditioning systems and HVAC support equipment.
• Troubleshoots and facilitates repairs to maintain space conditions in a timely manner.
• Performs preventative and routine maintenance on HVAC equipment.
• Documents actions and operating abnormalities, logs conditions.
• Maintains comfort levels and operates within policy temperature/humidity guidelines.
• Operates medical gas and vacuum systems within guidelines.
