Job summary

Kelberman Center Inc. seeks a Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) to lead high-quality ABA services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including ASD and related challenges.

The LBA will collaborate with clinical, educational, and administrative leadership to support school, clinic, residential, and community programs. The role involves direct client care, supervision of staff pursuing credentials, data-driven program development, and ongoing program evaluation.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education or related field.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification is required.
  • New York license in Behavior Analysis required, or license eligible.
  • 2 years relevant experience.
  • Advanced computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
  • Travel and transport is required. Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • This position has regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD and/or OCFS.
  • This is substitution clause.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, implements, and supervises assessments and treatments based on behavioral analytic principles.
  • Coordinates applied behavior analytic services including functional behavior assessments and function-based behavior intervention plans.
  • Develops goals for home, community, and center programs and designs behavior intervention plans based on functional assessment data.
  • Maintains data collection systems to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy.
  • Analyzes data regularly to make data-based decisions.
  • Evaluates behavior plans and achievement of goals.
  • Ensures proper implementation of clinical programs and data systems for assigned caseload.
  • Meets with staff to discuss client issues and provide support as needed.
  • Engages in 1:1 direct client care when necessary.
  • Completes initial and re-assessments to maintain insurance authorizations.
  • Completes timely session notes and reports.
  • Maintains documentation and communication with families and other providers.
  • Participates in staff and caregiver training and consultation.
  • Keeps current with literature to inform behavioral plan development.
  • Provides supervision for staff pursuing BACB credentials.
  • Maintains licensure per regulatory requirements including CE.
  • Completes all required documentation per program regulations.
  • Participates in Leadership team activities as needed.
  • Contributes to a positive work environment in alignment with Kelberman’s culture.
  • Demonstrates reliable attendance and adheres to schedules.
  • Ensures compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
