Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time Athletic Trainer to support community outreach programs at local schools and sports events. The role involves evaluating injuries, creating progress-driven treatment plans, and coordinating discharge instructions and community referrals.

Qualifications

• BOC-certified athletic trainer required.
• Licensed or eligible for state license within 30 days of hire.
• CPR/AHA Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of injuries and refer patients appropriately.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and monitor progress.
• Address factors affecting patient comfort and cultural needs.
• Facilitate patient discharge with home care instructions and referrals.
• Complete required documentation per department policies and billing guidelines.
• Support community outreach to increase awareness and referrals.
• Maintain a clean, safe treatment area and equipment.
