Job summary

LensCrafters in Franklin, TN is hiring an Assistant Manager to lead the store in the absence of the Store Manager. You will supervise staff, drive KPI performance, and contribute to a high-quality vision-care experience.

The ideal candidate holds a current state Opticianry license and has at least 1 year of supervisory experience in retail, with strong English communication and selling skills. This role includes a broad schedule with evenings and weekends and offers a comprehensive total rewards

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current and valid state Opticianry license
• 1+ year of management/supervisory experience with direct reports
• Knowledge of retail operations, processes and policies
• Strong basic math skills
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators
• Excellent written and oral English communication
• Strong communication and listening skills
• Proven selling skills and problem-solving ability

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality and improvement to meet or exceed key KPIs (e.g., Comp Sales, Conversion, Customer Count)
• Demonstrates understanding of retail business and market trends
• Supports the store manager in diagnosing business and leveraging Retail, Lab & Doctor synergies
• Supports store business plans to maximize sales and profit
• Partners with store manager to lead a team with strong knowledge and skills
• Provides training and guidance to team members
• Delivers constructive feedback in a timely manner
• Assists in recruiting and creating a talent pipeline
• Maintains store appearance and visual standards
• Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
