Job summary

Wachter is seeking a field technician to install, service, and troubleshoot Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems at retail sites across the region.

You will run low-voltage cabling, perform conduit work, and help install door strikes and maglocks, working with Project Managers to deliver on-site and remote support as needed. A valid driver’s license and training materials are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with commercial Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems; Fire alarms and data cabling a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints; comfortable using smartphones, email, and spreadsheets.
• Willingness to travel extensively (75-100%) with flexible shifts.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record; no DUI/DWI in 3 years; bring basic tools, PPE, and personal transit for training.

Responsibilities

• Install & Service: Maintain Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm systems at retail sites.
• Fieldwork: Run low-voltage cables, conduit work, drill concrete, and install door strikes/maglocks.
• Test & Troubleshoot: Ensure full system functionality and compliance with local and federal codes.
• Collaborate: Partner with Project Managers and provide on-site/remote technical support.
