Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is seeking experienced technicians to install and service Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems at retail locations across the Detroit area.

You will perform fieldwork including low-voltage cabling, conduit work, and device installations while ensuring compliance with codes and standards. The role requires hands-on expertise with commercial security systems, plus the ability to read blueprints and communicate effectively with project managers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with commercial Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems.
• Ability to read blueprints; proficiency with smartphones, email, and spreadsheets.
• Willingness to travel extensively (75-100%) with flexible shifts.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; basic tools and PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Install & Service: Maintain Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion Alarm systems at retail sites.
• Fieldwork: Run low-voltage cables, perform conduit work, drill concrete, and install door strikes/maglocks.
