Job summary

University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Library Technician 3 at the DeLaMare Library to deliver advanced library operations support, coordinate workflows, and provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and community users.

The role includes day-to-day operations support, training and supervision, and involvement in collection management and reporting tasks within the University Libraries system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent with four years library experience.
• Two years of technical library duties such as copy cataloging, acquisitions, electronic resource management.
• Experience as Library Technician 2 in Nevada state service or equivalent.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may apply.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day operations of the DeLaMare Library, including access, circulation, and user services.
• Train and supervise library staff and student workers.
• Troubleshoot library service issues and maintain library records and systems.
• Assist with collection maintenance and reporting duties.
• Coordinate projects and contribute to library initiatives.
