Job summary

Lewiston City Library seeks a Technical & Marketing Library Assistant to support collection work and create digital and print materials. Under the Library Technician or Administrative Team, you will ensure materials are prepared for circulation and shared through online and onsite channels.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, strong customer service, teamwork, and the ability to produce ADA-compliant content for social media, websites, and print publications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Certificate or Associate’s degree in graphic design, digital media or graphic communication.
• Experience in customer service and teamwork.
• Proficiency with social media platforms, websites, and basic printing/scanning.

Responsibilities

• Receive and distribute new library materials for processing.
• Label and process materials for public use.
• Update item records in the library ILS.
• Create digital and print content for social media, onsite and off-site publications compliant with ADA Title II.
• Perform other duties as assigned; may include night/weekend shifts.
