Job summary

Pacific University seeks current students for the FWS - Library Technology Aide position at the Cornelius Public Library in Cornelius, OR. This off-campus, on-site role offers $16.80/hr for the 2026-27 academic year.

The Technology Aide assists patrons and staff with computers, printers, and library tech, and creates instructional materials to boost user confidence and proficiency. You’ll maintain public computers and support tech projects with a bilingual, community-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons and staff with computers, printers, and technology resources to improve satisfaction and reduce wait times for tech support.
• Provide basic technology-based instructional sessions for individuals and small groups to enhance confidence and proficiency in using library technology.
• Create instructional materials tailored to library technology systems and tools to support staff and patrons.
• Perform a comprehensive inventory check of computer-related equipment to improve resource management.
• Conduct regular updates and maintenance on public computers, printers, laptops, and WiFi hotspots to ensure reliability.
• Participate in technology-related projects, such as setting up equipment or implementing new software.
• Continuously improve the library's technology offerings to make it more accessible.
