Job summary

California Polytechnic State University is seeking a Stacks Maintenance, Fulfillment, and Resource Sharing Coordinator for the Robert E. Kennedy Library at Cal Poly Maritime Academy in Vallejo.

The role focuses on managing physical and electronic access to the library’s collections, supervising student workers, and leading ILL/resource sharing operations. The position is full-time and temporary for 12 months with full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent certification plus three years of related library and/or clerical experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train student assistants, overseeing workflow in stacks maintenance and retrieval.
• Oversee daily reshelving and space planning projects for collections.
• Lead Interlibrary Loan (ILL)/Resource Sharing borrowing operations and delivery logistics.
• Utilize library management systems to support efficient access to materials.
• Resolve complex patron issues and implement procedural improvements across operations.
