Job summary

The Nashua Public Library is seeking a part-time Security Guard to monitor the facility, enforce the code of conduct, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment for staff and patrons.

Shifts include Monday-Thursday mornings, Saturday mornings, and some Sundays with potential overtime. Candidates should have public-facing experience; a higher degree with security experience or a high school diploma with several years in related fields is required; bilingual ability is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with the public and enforcing policies.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse population.
• Bilingual candidates strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol building and grounds to deter disturbances and ensure safety.
• Enforce the library's code of conduct and assist staff and patrons as needed.
• Respond to emergencies, document incidents, and open/close the facility as required.
• Act as liaison with police and fire departments when needed.
