Job summary

Linn‑Benton Community College is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to support patrons, answer basic reference questions, and assist with cataloging and networked resources. Qualifications

• Requires minimum qualifications with clear demonstration of meeting them for consideration.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3+ years full-time related experience, or AA/AS with 1 year related experience, or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Assist library patrons with locating and using materials and services, including basic reference help.
• Update library website and handle circulation, cataloging, and collection development tasks.
• Provide user support for software (word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Internet, email).
• Collaborate with faculty and librarians on research guides and bibliographies.
• Support collection development and promote library resources through displays and materials.
