Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking candidates to join the Part-Time Library Reference Assistant Pool. The pool is used to fill on‑demand, non-exempt, part‑time assignments. Postings are valid for one year, with reapplication required to remain in the pool.

The role supports librarians by staffing the reference desk and assisting students with assignments using online databases and print resources. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and strong computer, research, and customer-service

This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department/division be interested in scheduling an interview. Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist the Reference Librarians, provide support and assistance to students with class assignments and reference needs using online databases and/or print resources. This is accomplished by staffing the reference desk as scheduled.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in any academic area.
