Qualifications

• An associate’s degree or any combination of education, experience, or training relevant to the position.
• Proven basic knowledge of library operations.
• Exceptional customer service, time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain strict accuracy and be detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be self-motivated.
• Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows based computer applications.
• Ability to work as a functioning member of a team and with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Perform library public services duties.
• Perform library technical operations.
• Partner with Chastain Campus staff to promote library services and College events/initiatives.
• Providing excellent patron service and assisting with stacks maintenance.
• Maintaining patron confidentiality and logging use statistics.
• Using the library management system for related functions.
• Communicating effectively with patrons in person, by phone, and online.
• Working as part of the library staff and other duties as assigned.
• This position requires working at least one night per week and on weekends, as scheduled.
