Palm Beach State College is seeking a Library Assistant to provide library services to students, faculty and staff in accordance with policies. You will assist with cataloging, shelving, researching in the library data management system, and helping patrons locate materials.

You will welcome and assist patrons, operate the library databases and online catalog, process checkouts and returns, and support instructors with office tasks.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED or related experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar applications.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Provide library services to students, faculty and staff according to policies and procedures.
• Assist with information on library services and shelving materials per classification codes.
• Greet patrons and assist in locating materials and using databases and online catalogs.
• Process charges, discharges, and renewals of items.
• Maintain proper order on shelves and update data in spreadsheets and databases.
• Assist instructors with office support and operate library equipment as needed.
