Responsibilities

• Provides customer service at service desks; greets, receives, and screens visitors and customers; addresses questions or refers complex inquiries to staff.
• Works service desks, assists patrons with checking out library materials and using public computers.
• Registers patrons for library cards, helps with fees, places holds and performs payment transactions.
• Educates patrons in locating materials and information; provides readers advisory services and assists with library technologies.
• Keeps the library safe by addressing problematic patrons and supporting program promotion.
