Job summary

The California State University, Stanislaus library is seeking a Library Outreach Student Assistant (FWS). This temporary hourly position supports social media, marketing, and event outreach for the University Library in Turlock, CA.

You will create posts, design flyers, and assist with events and merchandise, while gaining real-world marketing experience. Open to undergraduate students enrolled in at least six Fall/Spring units, with a focus on marketing or communication.

Qualifications

• Preferred qualifications include: marketing, outreach, graphic design, and events planning.
• Strong detail orientation and ability to complete drafts independently.
• Ability to design inclusive promotional materials and programs.
• Experience with multiple social media platforms.
• Experience creating promotional materials and graphics.
• Comfort with public speaking and using design/video tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Arts and crafts experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Library's social media accounts and schedule posts.
• Develop marketing and outreach projects including graphics and posts.
• Design flyers for workshops and events (virtual or onsite).
• Run social media analytics and assist with outreach events.
• Help design library merchandise and promote resources to students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
