Job summary

California State University, Stanislaus in Stockton seeks a Student Assistant under the Federal Work Study program to support the Library's daily operations and outreach. The student will help create a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and library patrons, contributing to customer service, communication, and teamwork.

Typical schedule is 10–12 hours per week. Start between September 1, 2026 and September 14, 2026 with ending window through May 21, 2027, and potential rehire

Qualifications

• Undergrad and/or grad student status required with specific unit enrollment.
• Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for current term/year.
• Ability to handle multiple library-related tasks and outreach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the Library’s social media accounts.
• Schedule weekly posts on Library Instagram, TikTok and Twitter.
• Develop graphics and write posts for outreach projects.
• Design informational/event flyers for workshops and marketing events.
• Run social media analytics.
• Assist with outreach events/preparation as needed.
• Help design library merchandise.
• Promote library resources and services to students.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
