Job summary

Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary is seeking a Library Support/Technician to assist the Mark T. Coppenger Library with technical services, supplies, and financial processing. The role includes managing journals, coordinating digital access, and supporting catalog operations.

Responsibilities include processing invoices, maintaining Excel records, and assisting at the circulation desk. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent and library experience are preferred, with typical work hours

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferred.
• Previous library experience, preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.
• Able to use library software for online catalog searches, interlibrary loans, and circulation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with duties related to technical services, supplies, physical service, financial processing, and recordkeeping.
• Check in and maintain physical journal collection.
• Coordinate with library staff on digital subscriptions and access.
• Process and maintain acquisitions and the local catalog.
• Submit facilities work orders and maintain library supplies.
• Process invoices and maintain library transactions in Excel.
• Assist at the circulation desk and participate in staff meetings.
