Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a part-time Library Technical Services Assistant to support physical processing of library materials. You will handle receiving, preparing, and routing items, along with basic copy cataloging and records maintenance.

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma or GED and one year of customer service or library experience; a background check is required at time of hire and E-Verify participation is noted. Preference given to AMEA members.

Qualifications

• High school, GED, or the equivalent and 1 year of customer service and/or library experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide Technical Services support with emphasis on physical processing of library materials.
• Receive, prepare, process, and route library materials; assist with cataloging and records maintenance.
• Assist with material repair and department projects; provide shelving and other library support.
