Job summary

The University of Virginia Library is seeking a Stacks Coordinator for the Ivy Library high-density storage facility in Charlottesville. The role involves managing and providing access to physical collections, operating an order picker forklift, and coordinating material movement between branches.

Responsibilities include using storage management software, driving a 16-ft box truck for deliveries, and contributing to projects as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• Ability to become licensed to operate an order picker forklift.
• Valid Virginia Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Use an order picker forklift to retrieve requested materials and reshelve returned items.
• Transport and receive library materials from library branches.
• Drive a 16-ft box truck for delivery or pick-up of library materials.
• Process new library materials using circulation and storage management software.
• Participate in ongoing and special projects as needed.
