Job summary

Lake Agassiz Regional Library is seeking a Computer Technician to maintain computer hardware, peripherals, and software across the LARL system, including the Regional Office, branches, and LINK Sites.

Under IT Director supervision, you will provide technical support to staff, manage deployment images, and assist with Google Workspace administration, while traveling throughout the service area to support library locations.

Qualifications

Requires ability to install, configure, maintain, and repair workstation hardware and software.
Familiarity with Windows, ChromeOS, and Linux (deployed on kiosk systems).
Experience with printers, scanners, projectors, and mobile devices is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide hardware support for desktops, laptops, kiosks, printers, scanners, and displays.
Install, configure, and maintain software across the library network.
Support and administer Google Workspace accounts and onboarding.
Assist with deployment images and software updates using deployment tools.
Troubleshoot LAN/WAN and wireless networks for staff and public work areas.
Create user documentation and provide staff training.
Collaborate with IT Director and Help Desk team on projects and upgrades.
Travel regularly within the LARL service area as needed.
