Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a hands-on IT support professional to maintain the user help desk, troubleshoot hardware and software, and provide timely resolutions for inquiries. The role involves on-site support, device deployment, and basic programming tasks, with emphasis on documentation and inventory management.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of operation and support experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver's license if required.

Qualifications

• At least one year of computer operation and system support experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• A valid, lawful Driver License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain user help desk for technical hardware and software issues.
• Ensure a quick response and timely resolution on all inquiries.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and software problems on the phone or on location.
• Maintain an accurate log of support calls and their results.
• Instruct users on basic software and computer use, best practices, and procedures.
• Deploy basic software applications on workstations, scanners, printers, and other computerized devices.
• Detect and eliminate basic system viruses, spyware, and other malware.
• May perform elementary programming, including writing and maintaining system queries.
• Assist in determining need for, evaluating, selecting, installing, and replacing a variety of hardware, including printers, projectors, scanners and other peripherals.
• Assist in maintaining life cycle of hardware and software, including maintaining an accurate inventory, facilitating manufacturer warranties, and analyzing replacement needs.
• Assist other staff members as needed and perform other related duties as required
