Job summary

Southwestern Community College is seeking a Library Assistant to serve as the primary staff member at the information desk, providing knowledgeable services and assisting users with library resources. Qualifications

• Provides knowledgeable services at information desk and assists users
• Troubleshoots basic public computers and printers
• Manages circulation duties and maintains records

Responsibilities

• Open the Library and assist users at the information desk
• Follow circulation processes and maintain overdue notices
• Organize materials using Library of Congress classification and shelving accuracy
• Assist with technology lending and maintenance of equipment
• Refer complex research questions to the Librarian or Library Director
• Represent Southwestern Community College with a service-oriented presence
