The University of Delaware's Morris Library invites applications for a Student Assistant, Library Help Center, Desk, Spring 2027. This on-site role supports patrons with information, circulation, and access to resources.

Undergraduate students who are work-study eligible and able to commit at least six hours per week will assist at the Help Center Desk, manage basic circulation tasks, and help with study rooms, interlibrary loan, and public computers.

Qualifications

• Must be work-study eligible.
• Commit to a minimum of six hours per week from Library Hours.
• Undergraduate student at University of Delaware.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull book carts weighing up to 250 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Provide patrons with information about library policies and services.
• Perform circulation tasks: checkout/return, renewals, item retrieval, and DELCAT assistance.
• Assist with study rooms, Course Reserves, and interlibrary loan.
• Retrieve equipment and reserve materials on demand.
• Answer questions and refer visitors to appropriate service points.
• Assist with publicly accessible computers, scanners, and printers.
• Process Lost and Found items.
