Job summary

Boothbay Harbor Memorial Library in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, seeks a Development & Communications Manager to lead fundraising, donor relations, sponsorships, and communications that tell the Library’s story and grow community support.

Working closely with the Executive Director and Board of Trustees, this role drives annual and capital campaigns, manages gift records in Bloomerang, coordinates sponsorships, and shares program impact with residents and visitors through timely, compelling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five+ years of nonprofit development, communications, fundraising, or related experience.
• Experience with donor relations, grants, and communications strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and project-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate annual fundraising campaigns and donor records in Bloomerang.
• Plan major fundraising gala and donor appreciation event.
• Maintain confidential donor information and acknowledge gifts.
• Identify and solicit sponsorships for programs and events.
• Prepare regular fundraising reports for leadership.
