Job summary

The University of Chicago Library is seeking a Finance Specialist to support the Library Finance Manager by delivering budget, financial, and analytical input for operating, endowment, gifts, capital, and other internal budgets. You will assist with special projects and use Oracle, AURA, Concur, and Workday to coordinate reporting.

This hybrid role reports to the Senior Director of Human Resources and Interim Head of Finance, focusing on monthly forecasts, journal entries, and training for staff

Qualifications

College degree in a related field.
Knowledge and skills developed through < 2 years of work in a related discipline.
Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, financial systems, and word processing.

Responsibilities

Prepare, monitor, and analyze budgets across Library departments.
Prepare monthly financial forecast reports and advise on financial impact.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual department reporting.
Maintain spreadsheets, databases, and financial tracking tools.
