Job summary

The University of Chicago BSD AFA - Accounting team is seeking a detail-oriented financial professional to coordinate operating and capital budgets. You will assist with financial forecasts, quarterly reporting, and ad hoc analyses under the Senior Director’s guidance.

Responsibilities include accounts payable/receivable, monthly reporting, and collaboration with department stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely invoicing and compliant financial processes within a rigorous university

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Generate reports and analyze financial data for operating budgets.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments.
• Support annual operating budget development and monthly closings.
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses and forecasting as needed.
• Provide Excel-based reporting and process improvements for efficiency.
