Job summary

Greene County Public Library seeks a part-time Maintenance Technician to join the Operations team in Xenia. This role involves semi-skilled building repairs, preventive maintenance, and occasional landscaping duties across library facilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in facilities maintenance or related field.
• 3–5 years facility maintenance, custodial, or related experience.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and insurability; ability to operate a 3/4 ton van.
• Defensive driving training completion required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues and recommend repairs.
• Repair plumbing fixtures, valves, and pumps; handle drain repairs.
• Replace breakers, outlets, switches, and lighting; troubleshoot circuits.
• Perform HVAC preventative maintenance and system start-ups/shut downs.
• Carpentry and finish work; drywall, doors, cabinets, shelving; painting.
• Assist with moving and delivery between library locations.
• Document preventive maintenance schedules for critical equipment.
• Support safety systems and assist with fire and alarm checks.
• Set up meeting rooms and arrange furniture as needed.
• Perform seasonal landscaping and exterior maintenance.
