7Seventy is seeking an experienced custodian to manage a busy community library facility and support staff with program logistics. The role emphasizes ownership, independent work, and strong customer service in a bustling environment.

You will oversee daily cleaning, restocking, and emergency response, while maintaining logs and ensuring the site’s upkeep. A high school diploma and 2+ years of full-time custodial experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of full-time custodial experience required.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Manage building maintenance, cleaning, staff support, and program logistics for an assigned location.
• Maintain overall responsibility for the site’s upkeep and may supervise custodial team members.
• Respond to emergency situations requiring custodial support as needed.
• Maintain daily building logs for visitors, vendors, utility companies, and contractors.
• Perform heavy-duty cleaning including high and low dusting, floor care, vacuuming, waxing, buffing, spot cleaning, and gum removal.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including fixtures, tile walls, and mirrors, and restock toiletries.
• Unclog sinks and toilets as needed.
• Remove trash and handle recycling in compliance with New York State requirements.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed.
• Inventory, maintain, and order custodial supplies and equipment for the building.
• Perform grounds care including monitoring the exterior, sweeping sidewalks, and removing weeds from cracks and crevices.
• Clean exterior and interior glass.
• Support staff and visitors with strong customer service and attention to detail.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
