Category/Classification: Regular Staff (Non-Exempt) (25 Hours a Week), Valid Driver's License and Insurance Required
Reports to: Department Head of Buildings and Grounds
Under immediate direction performs various tasks necessary to maintain the library buildings and grounds. Is responsible for general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in maintaining library building and grounds, and equipment in clean, orderly and functional condition. Receives oral and written orders from Department Head of Buildings and Grounds and other managerial staff.
High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read and write. Prior housekeeping experience desired. Possess unrestricted driver’s license.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and convey a maximum of 50 pounds. Ability to bend at the knees, squat, climb ladders, bend at the waist, reach (extending hands and arms in any direction), handling (grasping, holding or turning objects), working with fingertips, and hearing sounds/communication.
