Job summary

Library Systems & Services, LLC seeks a Facilities Associate to uphold clean, safe, and welcoming library spaces. You will perform routine custodial tasks, basic maintenance, and assist in setting up public areas and programming spaces for events.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience in custodial, janitorial, facilities maintenance, or related work preferred.
Knowledge of basic cleaning methods, equipment, products, and safe chemical handling practices preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean public areas, staff workspaces, meeting rooms, restrooms, offices, breakrooms, and other library spaces.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, sanitize, and disinfect library facilities.
Empty trash and recycling receptacles and properly dispose of waste.
Restock restroom, cleaning, and custodial supplies.
Clean windows, glass, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces.
Maintain exterior entrances, sidewalks, and outdoor areas.
Assist with seasonal, preventative, and deep-cleaning projects.
Set up and take down tables, chairs, equipment, and displays for library programs and events.
Prepare meeting rooms and programming spaces for public use.
Assist with moving shelving, furniture, supplies, and other equipment.
