Labor on Demand Inc. is seeking a Library Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming library environment.

The role covers reading rooms, offices, restrooms, and entryways, with a focus on high cleanliness standards and courteous service. The position requires at least six months of custodial experience and the ability to work independently in a quiet, professional setting, following safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six (6) months of custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in public facilities.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to successfully pass any required background screening.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum and spot-clean carpeted reading rooms, aisles, staff offices, and public areas.
• Sweep and mop hard surface flooring in entryways and offices.
• Dust and sanitize tables, chairs, computer workstations, furniture, and shelving units.
• Clean interior glass doors, mirrors, and low windowpanes.
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the facility and transport waste to disposal areas.
• Disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies, and maintain restrooms.
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces such as door handles and light switches.
• Maintain cleanliness of employee work areas, meeting rooms, and public spaces.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and supply shortages to management.
• Safely operate and maintain custodial equipment and cleaning supplies.
