Job summary

Lone Star College-CyFair is seeking a Specialist III, Library Joint Use to assist students, faculty, and the public in obtaining resources and circulating library materials using automated systems. You will maintain patron records and provide information and directions as needed.

The role includes administrative duties, handling fines, documenting procedures, and supporting inventory and facilities checks. A high school diploma or GED is required, with some evening/weekend shifts possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1 year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Preferred: Associate degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Uses automated systems to perform circulation services.
• Provides information and assistance to library visitors in person, by phone and email.
• Participates in developing documentation for circulation procedures.
• Collects money for fines and updates patron records.
• Assists patrons with copy machines and enforces circulation policies.
• Participates in shelf reading, inventory, and facilities monitoring.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
