Job summary

Lone Star College in Conroe, TX is seeking a Part-time Assistant II, Library to support students and staff with library circulating and reserve resources. You will assist patrons in person, by phone and email, and help with daily operations under supervision.

Responsibilities include using Horizon and PeopleSoft for circulation, enforcing policies, handling IDs and library cards, and guiding patrons on using laptops, printers, and AV equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Horizon and PeopleSoft to manage circulation.
• Assist library patrons in person, by phone, and email and refer to librarians.
• Open/close facility, handle cash, and log daily activity.
• Enforce circulation policies for students and staff.
• Activate college IDs and issue library cards to patrons.
• Manage Circulation Department in absence of senior staff.
• Develop and document circulation procedures.
• Collect fines and update patron records.
• Assist patrons with laptops, copiers, Pay Print, and AV equipment.
