Greene County Public Library in Jamestown is seeking a part-time Circulation Clerk to support daily library operations. You will check materials in and out, assist patrons, process fines, and maintain the circulation desk with accuracy and friendliness.

The role requires 20 hours per week with daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. A high school diploma is required, and training is provided to operate the circulation system and handle donations and material processing.

• Provide knowledgeable customer service to assist library patrons.
• Communicate clearly and read printed and on-screen information.
• Proven computer skills and ability to input information into an automated system.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced environment and handle difficult situations.
• Some knowledge of library clerical principles and procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Check out and check in materials; collect fines and charges; renewals and reserves.
• Sort materials for shelving and handle returns and book-drop.
• Process new and withdrawn materials; donate handling.
• Repair and repackage damaged items and assist patrons in finding items.
• Attend training and stay updated via meetings and communications.
