Library Systems and Services is seeking a friendly Library Circulation Clerk for the Huntsville Public Library in Huntsville, TX. The role is entry level within the Library Associate family and involves front desk duties, patron support, and basic circulation tasks.

The position emphasizes excellent customer service, assisting with check in/out, payments, and program support. Regular hours include days, evenings, and weekends, with a strong focus on privacy and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Two years library experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work a regular schedule including days, evenings and weekends.
• Familiarity with library systems and databases.
• English/Spanish speaking a plus.

Responsabilités

• Welcome and register patrons, issue library cards, and manage patron accounts.
• Check in/out materials and assist with fines and payments.
• Assist patrons at the reference desk and with self-checkout.
• Shelve materials and support program activities as directed.
• Open/close library, assist with cash handling and reporting.
• Maintain privacy and follow library policies at all times.
