Library Systems and Services is seeking a friendly, service-oriented Library Circulation Clerk for the Huntsville Public Library in Huntsville, TX. This entry-level role supports circulation desk operations and customer service, including check-in/out, card issuance, and patron account management.

You will assist patrons with locating materials, use of self-checkout, and basic reference tasks, while handling payments and keeping shelves organized.

Qualifications

• Welcomes and registers patrons; issues library cards.
• Checks in/out materials and manages patron accounts.
• Assists patrons with locating materials and using the reference desk.
• Handles fines, fees, or other payments.
• Shelves library materials and supports program activities.

Responsabilités

• Provide excellent customer service at the circulation desk.
• Assist with opening/closing duties and cash reports.
• Explain policies and assist with self-checkout and computer use.
• Provide information about programs, events, and room reservations.
• Maintain patron privacy and protect records.
