Huntsville Public Library in Huntsville, TX is hiring a Library Circulation Clerk. The entry-level position supports library operations at the circulation desk and provides friendly, service-oriented assistance to patrons.

The role involves checking materials in/out, registering patrons for library cards, handling payments, and helping locate materials. Work hours total 40 per week, with a schedule including some evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Provides excellent customer service at the circulation desk.
• Assists patrons with locating materials and using library resources.
• Handles basic payments, fines, and account management when needed.
• Maintains order and assists with opening/closing duties.

Responsabilités

• Greet patrons and register them for library service.
• Check in/out materials and manage patron accounts.
• Assist patrons at the reference desk and with computers.
• Process fines and payments; log daily cash.
• Shelve materials and aid in program support as needed.
• Follow privacy policies and patron confidentiality.
