Job summary

The Delaware County District Library in Delaware, OH, is seeking a full-time Assistant Branch Manager - Youth Services Supervisor to oversee the Youth Services Department and assist in branch operations.

You will lead programming for children and teens, supervise staff, and collaborate with the Branch Manager to ensure quality service; MLS/MLIS from an ALA-accredited program is required and travel between locations may be needed.

Qualifications

• MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited institution is required.
• Management experience, preferably in public libraries, with progressive levels of responsibility and supervision, is required.
• Two to three years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the “person in-charge” role in the absence of the Branch Manager.
• Oversees the daily operation of the Youth Services Department.
• Provides direct service to patrons (phone, in-person, computer lab, drive-through curbside).
• Plans and provides programming for children and teens (in-person, virtual).
• Creates, maintains, and develops partnerships with local agencies and school districts.
• Assists with hiring and supervises Youth Services staff.
• Stays up-to-date with new developments and participates in trainings.
