Qualifications

• Must work when school is in session with set afternoon hours.
• Experience with children is required; school or security background is desirable.
• Maturity, patience, courtesy, tact, and good communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to emergencies in coordination with the supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patrons to ensure compliance with library rules.
• Ensure un-attended minors do not disrupt others or staff work.
• Build relationships with students emphasizing behavioral expectations.
• Explain policies clearly to patrons when needed.
• Document behavioral incidents, using CCTV footage when available.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Director.
