Job summary

The Municipality of Anchorage is seeking a Library Clerk to assist the public with circulation, registration, and technology help at the Eagle River location. You will guide patrons on Self-Checkout, databases, and the library website, and support programs and other branches as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service or library experience; you must be authorized to work in the United States. Background checks and E-Verify apply.

Qualifications

• High school, GED, or the equivalent and 1 year of customer service and/or library experience.
• Satisfactory background checks and ability to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist the public with circulation of materials and library card registration.
• Provide technology assistance and quick reference help using the library system and online resources.
• Support understaffed library locations and assist with library programs.
• Handle fines, deposits, and patron questions related to accounts and materials.
• Shelving, answering phones, and assisting with bus pass sales and voter registration when needed.
