Position Overview:
The Neenah Public Library is accepting applications for a friendly, energetic, and knowledgeable Library Assistant in the Circulation Services Department. This position is responsible for supporting daily library operations in a fast-paced environment, including checking materials in and out, shelving, sorting, and providing curbside delivery services. This position also assists patrons at the front desk with account creation, resolving account issues, and processing payments for library fees and merchandise. Strong computer skills and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role. The ideal candidate will support the library's mission: Inspiring ideas. Enriching lives. Creating Community. Celebrating Literacy.

Schedule:
  • A varied schedule includes regular nights and weekend shifts, including Sundays.
Qualifications:
  • H.S. graduate or equivalent with 2 years of continuing education
  • 3 years of exceptional customer service or administrative experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Proficient computer skills
Salary and Benefits:
  • Starting Wage: $18.88 per hour
  • Permanent part-time averaging 20 hours per week.
  • Benefits include paid vacation, sick, and holidays.
  • This position is not eligible for health insurance or retirement benefits.
