Position Summary

The University of New Mexico College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences (UL&LS) seeks motivated and highly-engaged student employees interested in a challenging and dynamic customer service environment. Library Assistants are the first point of contact for most patrons and handle daily library operations.

Responsibilities

1. Assist students, faculty, and community patrons with discovering and using library materials.
2. Help patrons learn about and utilize library resources such as course reserves, study rooms, computers, and printing.
3. Open and close library facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
4. Shelve library materials and maintain well-organized collections.
5. Participate in special projects as assigned.

Opportunities and Benefits
