Job summary

Yale University’s Divinity Library seeks an organized acquisitions and basic cataloging support specialist. Under minimal supervision, you will assist Latourette-funded projects, document procedures, and coordinate with vendors and internal teams in a fast-paced service environment.

The role includes tracking funds, generating reports, providing bibliographic access, and supervising student staff while ensuring resources are processed and shelved promptly to support researchers and teaching

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to compose correspondence, write reports, and document procedures clearly.
  • Comfort using translation tools and handling multilingual materials.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and library systems/databases.
  • Ability to organize multiple tasks in a busy service environment.
  • Experience coordinating with vendors and internal partners.

Responsibilities

  • Answer questions on use and restrictions of materials.
  • Compose correspondence and support reference services.
  • Search and verify bibliographic data with incomplete information.
  • Update data files and correct inaccuracies.
  • Lead or guide other staff and interns as needed.
  • Process interlibrary loan requests and track expenditures.
