Job summary

Georgia Tech Library seeks a detail-oriented Library Assistant to provide access and technical services, including cataloging support, course reserves, and resource sharing, to faculty, students, and staff. You will process interlibrary loans, download articles, manage copyrights, and help patrons with multiple library systems.

This role also joins library projects and cross-training to broaden service knowledge.

Qualifications

Two to four years of relevant library experience.
Technical Diploma or Associate's degree or two years college work.
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Ability to work with faculty, students, and staff.

Responsibilities

Provide access and technical services for the Library.
Process interlibrary lending and borrowing requests.
Search and download articles from library databases and ensure copyright compliance.
Assist patrons and use library software to process requests.
Participate in library projects and initiatives.
Engage with other Library areas to broaden knowledge of services.
Manage Course Reserve requests and end-of-semester removals.
Process physical items into the collection and update metadata in the ILS.
Receive, check-in, and reconcile serial issues and invoices.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
